Notifications from Alvie come in 2 different shapes; In-App Notifications and Email Notifications.
On this page you can read more about how those work, how you can work with them as well as how you can manage your personal settings.
What are Notification Settings?
Notification settings give you granular control over which alerts Alvie sends to your email.
By default, Alvie keeps you informed about important events, such as job failures or new recommendations.
However, you can customise these settings to ensure you only receive the email notifications that are most relevant to your role, helping you reduce inbox noise and focus on what matters most.
These settings are managed per-workspace and apply to three key areas: Job statuses, Recommendations, and Data sources.
Change your notification settings
Follow these steps to access and modify your preferences for receiving emails.
Click the bell icon in the top-right corner of the Alvie platform to open the Notification Center.
At the bottom of the notification panel, select Edit notification settings.
You will be taken to the Notification settings page. Here, you can expand each of the three categories to configure your preferences.
Job statuses: Use the toggles to enable or disable email alerts for failures related to Connectors, Attribution Models, Budget optimiser, and Bidding signals.
Recommendations: First, enable the master toggle to Allow notifications for recommendations. Then, use the Severity dropdown to select which levels (e.g., Critical) should trigger an email.
Data sources: Use the toggle to opt in or out of receiving emails when a data source is disconnected.
Once you have adjusted the settings to your liking, click the Save notification settings button at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Your preferences are now saved, and Alvie will only send you email notifications that match your new configuration.
What are In-App Notifications?
In-app notifications are real-time alerts designed to draw your attention to important events or issues that require action. The Notification Center is your central hub for viewing these alerts.
You can find the Notification Center by looking for the bell icon in the top-right corner of the Alvie platform. The number on the icon indicates the number of unread notifications waiting for you.
How to view and act on notifications
Follow these steps to access the Notification Center and address your alerts.
Click the bell icon to open the All notifications panel on the right side of your screen.
Inside the panel, you will see a list of alerts, grouped by type (e.g., "Recommendation issues") .
Click on any notification group to navigate directly to the relevant page to address the issue. For example, clicking on connector issues will take you to the Connectors page.
When you land on the page, it will be automatically filtered to show only the items that need your attention. A blue banner at the top of the page will confirm this, stating that the list is filtered to show only configs with issues.
This workflow allows you to quickly move from an alert directly to its solution without having to manually search for the source of the problem.
