What is happening?
The Google Ads connector fails to sync data because it is attempting to pull information from a high-level Manager Account (MCC) rather than an individual client account.

Error: It is not supported to request Connectors data from an MCC account. Please select a single account and try again.

Why did this happen?
This error typically occurs when the account selected during the connector setup is a Google Ads Manager Account. Common causes include:

  • Account Hierarchy Level: Alvie requires a direct connection to a specific client CID (Customer ID) to retrieve reporting data, as MCC accounts act only as umbrellas and do not hold the raw data themselves.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Navigate to Settings: Go to the Connectors tab in your Alvie dashboard.

  2. Locate the Source: Find the affected Google Ads connector.

  3. Action: Click Edit Configuration and change the selected Google Ads account from the Manager Account to a specific, single client account. Alternatively, delete the current connector and create a new one using a valid client CID.

  4. External Steps: Review your Google Ads manager account structure to identify the correct sub-account ID.

  5. Verify: Save the changes and re-run your connector and wait 2–5 minutes for the status to turn Healthy (Green).

Prevention & Tips To avoid seeing this error again:

  • Select Client IDs: Always choose individual child accounts (CIDs) during the setup process rather than the parent MCC account.

  • Still need help? If you encounter any further issues or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Alvie support team.
