What is happening?
The Google Merchant Center connector is failing to find any data to move. Even if your Merchant Center account has active products, the sync shows an error during the initial setup phase.
Error: No product data to transfer found for your Google merchant center account. If you have just created this transfer, you may need to wait for up to a day before the data from your Google merchant center account is prepared and available.
Why did this happen?
This error typically occurs because the connection is too new. Common causes include:
Pre-processing Delay: Because Merchant Center accounts can contain millions of items, Google’s Data Transfer Service requires a setup window to index and package the data for Alvie.
Initialization Time: Google typically requires up to 24 hours to make the first "snapshot" of your product data available to the transfer API.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Navigate to Settings: Check the status of your Google Merchant Center connector in the Alvie dashboard.
Locate the Source: Confirm that the Merchant Center ID in the connector configuration matches your actual account ID.
Action: No immediate technical action is usually required. Wait 24 hours from the time you first created the connector.
External Steps (If applicable): Log in to your Google Merchant Center account and ensure that your "Products" tab actually shows active, approved items. If the account is empty, Alvie will continue to show this error.
Verify: Check back the following day. The system will automatically attempt the sync again, and the status should turn Healthy (Green) once Google has prepared the data.

Plan for Lead Time: When onboarding new clients or Merchant Center accounts, always account for a 24-hour "warm-up" period before expecting data to appear in your Alvie reports.
