Before diving into attribution model analysis, it would be helpful to understand some general information about attribution models and the dashboard built for these models. In order to do so, several things need to be considered:
1. General information about the attribution model dashboard:
At the top of the page, you can see:
The type of Alvie attribution model: regression-based attribution.
The name of the attribution model configuration.
The date when this model was last edited.
Additionally, you may see a notification banner at the top, which explains the current status of the attribution model configuration. You can learn more about the possible statuses here.
2. General actions with the attribution model
There are four general actions that can be done with an attribution model configuration from the dashboard. All of these actions can be accessed through the 'More' menu located at the right part of the page:
1. Action 1: Define how you want the data to be represented. You can easily do so by choosing the 'Show conversions' or 'Show revenue' option in the 'More' menu. Learn more about how this change affects the dashboard here.
2. Action 2: In case a correction is required for the Alvie attribution model configuration, simply select 'More' → 'Edit this model'. This action will take you to a page where you can make the necessary changes to the attribution model configuration.
3. Action 3: If you want to zoom in for more granular details on how the attribution model is currently running, choose 'More' → 'View detailed status'. This action will open a popup with a detailed visualization of the model's status:
When the attribution model configuration is paused, such a popup will have no data to display and will be empty.
4. Action 4: You can also create a new attribution model configuration from this point by simply clicking on the 'Create new model' button.
3. Status of the attribution model configuration
The dashboard will display data based on the status of the respective attribution model configuration.
For example, when the attribution model configuration is paused, the dashboard will show historical data that was collected before the model was put into the pause status.
This status is visible at the top of the page:
There are four statuses available:
Active
Running
Paused
Error
You can learn more about each status here.
