At this step, you have the option to make additional settings that can help fine-tune your attribution model even further. You can choose from pre-selected default options or define your own settings according to your specific needs.
1. Choose the number of lookback days.
The lookback days refers to the number of days in the past, starting from today and going back to the specified number. By default, it is set to 30 days, but you can easily adjust it according to your needs. Ideally, the lookback days parameter should align with the length of the conversion window applicable to a specific business.
For example, if today is September 1st, 2024, and the selected lookback days parameter is set to 30 days, it means that the attribution model will consider data from August 2nd, 2024, to August 31st, 2024, for modelling purposes.
2. Choose the desired output currency
When viewing the data within Alvie, all currency-related metrics in the dashboards, tables, and graphs will be displayed in the currency specified for your workspace. However, if you need to reference BigQuery tables, such as the dashboard_table, and define a different currency for the output data in that table, you can specify the desired currency in this field.
3. Activate the attribution model
Once you have completed the settings in Step 5, you can proceed to activate the newly created attribution model. By clicking the 'Yes, activate now' button, the attribution model will start working. However, please note that it may take some time for all the necessary data to be calculated and attributed accordingly.
You also have the option to save the created configuration for the attribution model as a draft and activate it at a later time. If you choose to do so, click 'Save without activating'. You can then activate your model later from the attribution models overview page.
4. Automatic creation of Budget optimiser configurations
As soon as an Attribution model configuration is created, the Budget optimiser configuration will be created at the same time:
If you plan to use Budget optimiser together with one of the Alvie attribution models, you don't need to create any additional Budget optimiser configurations. You can proceed directly to the Budget optimiser analysis.
