What is happening?
The Budget Optimiser is unable to provide recommendations because it cannot find any attribution data from Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This prevents the tool from calculating how your budget should be allocated based on performance.
Error: There are no GA4 attribution results available. Have a look at the detailed status view to see if the GA4 data is being collected.
Why did this happen?
This error typically occurs when the connection between Alvie and GA4 is broken or the required data hasn't been synced. Common causes include:
Connector Failure: The GA4 connector in Alvie has stopped running or has an authentication error (expired credentials).
Missing Conversions: No conversion events have been recorded in the GA4 property for the selected timeframe.
API Latency: New GA4 properties or fresh connections can take 24–48 hours to populate attribution data via the API.
BigQuery Sync Issues: If your model relies on BigQuery, the export from GA4 to Google Cloud might be delayed or disabled.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Navigate to Settings: Open the Detailed Status view in your Alvie dashboard.
Locate the Source: Check the status of your GA4 Connectors. Look for red "Failed" icons or warning symbols.
Action: * If a connector has failed: Re-authenticate by clicking Reconnect or Update Credentials.
If a connector is "Healthy" but data is missing: Ensure your GA4 property has active Key Events (conversions) and that they are appearing in your GA4 interface.
External Steps: Log in to Google Analytics and verify that Data Collection is active and that your attribution settings are correctly configured under Admin > Data Settings.
Verify: Once the connectors are fixed or data is confirmed, wait for the next scheduled refresh or request a re-run. The Budget Optimiser status should turn Healthy (Green) once results are available.
