The Budget optimiser provides a wealth of data that can help you gain insights and ideas for effective budget allocation. To choose the specific data samples that are most relevant to you, you can utilize various filtering options:
Global filters: These filters are located at the top of the page and allow you to apply broad filters to the entire dashboard.
Local filters: These filters can be found on the Recommendations tab and Detailed report tab, and they enable you to modify the results based on specific criteria.
This page is dedicated to explanation about global filters and which data can be filtered through them.
The settings in the global filters will affect the representation of data in both the Recommendations tab and the Detailed report tab.
To access the global filters, simply go to the top of the page and click on the 'Add filters' button.
From here, you can adjust four different pieces of data: recommended actions, channels within custom grouping, data sources, and campaigns.
The global filter settings
1. Define which recommended actions to display.
In this context, 'actions' refers to the recommendations made by the Budget optimiser regarding budget allocation for specific campaigns, channels, or data sources.
There are three different types of recommended actions available:
Increase ad spend
Decrease ad spend
Do nothing with ad spend
2. Define which channels within the custom grouping to display.
You can choose which channels to display in the Budget optimiser results.
For example, if you would like to run an analysis of effective budget allocation only for a specific channel like 'Paid search non-brand', simply select this channel in the Global filter. You will then see results specifically for this channel.
3. Define which data sources to display.
You can choose which data sources to display in the Budget optimiser results.
