Troubleshooting Criteo Account Access

How to fix Criteo account access and connection issues in Alvie

Written by Leo Weber

If you are unable to see your desired Criteo account in Alvie, please follow these steps to resolve common credential and permission issues.

1. Reconnect Your Credentials First

Before checking permissions or account settings, always refresh the connection in Alvie. This is required after any permission or access changes in Criteo.

In Alvie:

  1. Go to Setup > Data Sources

  2. Click Connect New Data Source +

  3. Select Criteo.

  4. Under Credentials, choose to re-connect credentials before proceeding.

2. Verify Agency Portfolio Access

If you have access to the account you wish to connect to Alvie via an Agency portfolio, you must ensure that your user account e.g. [email protected] is added to that specific account.

In Criteo:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Agency portfolio

  2. Select the Advertiser(s) you wish to add

  3. Click Assign to users and search for your email address

  4. Assign yourself the “Agency Business” role

  5. Click Save

3. Confirm Minimum Access Level Requirements

For non-agency accounts with direct Criteo account access, your user account must have the correct permissions to connect the account to Alvie.

Your account must have:

  • Administrator access level for the Criteo account

Please note:

  • Agency read only is not sufficient for the Alvie integration.

4. Authorising the Alvie application

If the account was previously connected by a another user, you must revoke the existing Alvie’s access authorisation and reconnect your own account (for example, [email protected]).

In Criteo:

  1. Go to Settings > API Integrations

  2. Open the Consent dashboard, and locate the existing Alvie connection

  3. Check the Granted by column.

  4. If it shows a different email than the account you wish to use to connect to Alvie, click Revoke. This will remove Alvie’s access to that advertiser account

  5. After revoking access, return to Alvie.

  6. Go to Setup > Data Sources > Connect New Data Source +

  7. Select Criteo

  8. Complete the OAuth authorisation flow

  9. In Portfolio Access select the advertiser(s) you want to connect

  10. Click Approve

Once completed, thee advertiser account should appear in the list of available data sources in Alvie.

Important things to keep in mind

Sync Latency
Changes made in Criteo, including permission updates and authorisation changes, may take several hours to propagate. Please allow some time before attempting to reconnect.

Still Not Seeing the Account?

If the advertiser account still does not appear after completing the steps above, please contact Alvie Support.
