What is happening?
The Meta connector is struggling to process a high volume of data. The job is exceeding standard processing times, though the system is attempting to recover.
Error: Meta report is taking longer than usual to process - we're automatically retrying for you.
Why did this happen?
This error typically occurs when the Meta API request is too heavy for a single sync cycle. Common causes include:
High Data Volume: The requested date range contains too many rows of data for the API to return quickly.
Complex Configurations: Using an excessive number of dimensions or granular metrics (like unique reach or custom conversions) increases processing load.
API Timeouts: Meta's servers are taking too long to compile the report, causing the Alvie connection to hang.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Navigate to Settings: Go to the Connectors tab in your Alvie dashboard.
Locate the Source: Find the affected Meta Ads connector.
Action: Try manually re-running it at first. If the error persists after manual retries, click Edit Configuration. Try reducing the date range or removing non-essential dimensions/metrics to lighten the data.
Verify: Save the updated configuration. Wait for the next scheduled sync or trigger a manual refresh to see if the status turns Healthy (Green).
Prevention & Tips To avoid seeing this error again:
Incremental Syncs: Avoid pulling massive historical date ranges in a single report; try breaking them into smaller time segments.
Simplify Reports: Only select the dimensions and metrics strictly necessary for your dashboard to improve performance and reliability.
