The LinkedIn ads connector extracts data directly from the LinkedIn Advertising API and makes it available for use in your BigQuery environment.
To set up this connector, follow this step-by-step guide:
In Alvie, go to Data Insights → Connectors.
Click the 'Create new connector' button.
Give your connector a name.
Step 1: Choose a data source type and account
Under Step 1 - Data Source → Basic settings, select the data source type 'LinkedIn Ads'.
Next, under Select Data Source, select the LinkedIn Ads account you want to pull data from. Accounts appear by name with their ID in brackets, e.g. Josie's Juicebar - Sweden (456789456). If no LinkedIn account is yet connected to Alvie, you will be prompted by the interface to connect this data source to Alvie first. To do so, simply follow this guide.
Note: Each connector is scoped to one LinkedIn Ads account. To pull data from more than one account, you will need to create more than one connector, one per account.
Step 2. Choose a report type
Under Step 2 - Report, you can select from a list of Pre-defined reports for LinkedIn Ads ('Ad Performance', 'Attributed Revenue Metrics', and 'Campaign Performance'), or pick 'User Defined' to build your own User-defined report.
You can hover over any of the reports listed in the drop-down to preview the exact metrics and dimensions it includes.
Step 3: Select a date range
Select the date range to be applied to the connector. For more details, check the guide here.
Step 4: Set up data targets
Set up data targets to ensure your data is placed correctly. Follow the guide here on how to do this properly.
Step 5: Check advanced settings and activate your connector
Once you are ready, you can activate the connector and start it immediately. It is also possible to save the connector without activating it and return to it later.
