Inviting your teammates to join a workspace is a natural part of working together. The process may vary depending on the user's role and permissions.

However, please note that users with the role of 'Viewer' do not have the ability to invite new team members to join a workspace.

Inviting you teammates if you have:

the role 'Editor'

To invite a colleague, follow these steps:

1. Click on the workspace name in the top right corner.

2. In the flyout window, click on the 'Invite more members' button:

3. A popup window will appear where you can enter the email addresses of your teammates and assign a role to each invited member.

You can edit the role of a colleague after they accept the invitation.

When you have the role of 'Editor', you can invite new members and assign them either the role of 'Viewer' or 'Editor'. However, please note that the role of 'Admin' cannot be granted by you to newly invited members.

4. After sending the invite, you will be able to view colleagues with pending invites in the 'Pending Invites' tab of the flyout window:

5. In the 'Pending Invites' tab, you also have the option to notify the colleague about the invitation and resend the email that invited them. Additionally, if you've changed your mind about inviting them, you can revoke their invitation.

What your teammate should do

Here are the steps your teammate should follow:

2. Click the 'Accept invite' button in the email.

3. Your teammate will be redirected to Alvie with access to the workspace.

4. If this is their first time joining Alvie, they will be prompted to create a new account before signing in.

That's it!
