What is happening?
Your Attribution Model has stopped updating because it cannot find any conversion data for the most recent tracking day.

Error: Conversion data is missing for the current date. Please check your conversion source and ensure data is being collected consistently.

Why did this happen?
Alvie looks for a continuous stream of data in your custom conversion source:

  • Missing Date Entry: The model specifically looks for data from two days before today. If your manual sheet or platforms has a gap for that specific date, the process fails.

  • Sync Delay: Your internal data pipeline (e.g., a CRM export to BigQuery) might be lagging, leaving the most recent rows empty.

  • Source Mismatch: The date format in your source doesn't match the format Alvie expects (YYYY-MM-DD).

Solution Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Navigate to Settings: Open your Custom Conversion Source (typically a Google Sheet or BigQuery table).

  2. Locate the Source: Check the "Date" column. Locate the row for the "Model Date" (Current Date minus 2 days).

  3. Action: Ensure there is a row for that date.

    • If the data isn't ready yet, enter 0 for the conversion and revenue values as a placeholder.

Tip: Alvie automatically refreshes the last 5 days of data during every run. Any placeholder 0 you enter today will be overwritten with the actual data once it becomes available in your source.

  4. External Steps (If applicable): If using a Google Sheet, ensure there are no empty rows between your historical data and the new date entry, as this can sometimes break the data read.

  5. Verify: Return to the Attribution page in Alvie and click Run now. The status should turn Healthy (Green) once the date gap is filled.

Prevention & Tips To avoid seeing this error again:

  • Automate Your Source: If possible, use an automated script or BigQuery scheduled query to ensure a new date row is created every day, even if the values are initially zero.

  • Check the 2-Day Rule: Remember that "Current Date" in the error refers to the day Alvie is processing; always ensure your data is populated up to at least 48 hours ago.
