What is happening?
The connector is unable to fetch data because the existing credentials for the data source are no longer valid or have disconnected.

Error: The credentials used to access the Data Source in this connector need a refresh. Try signing in again.

Why did this happen?
This error typically occurs when the authentication link between Alvie and the data source is broken, though the specific technical trigger is unidentified. Common causes include:

  • Token Expiration: The security token has naturally expired or been revoked by the provider.

  • Password Change: The password for the source account was recently updated.

  • Session Invalidation: The third-party service has logged out the integration for security reasons.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Navigate to Settings: Go to the SetupData sources tab in the left-hand menu of your Alvie dashboard.

  2. Locate the Source: Find the relevant data source that is failing.

  3. Action: Click the Connect new data source button at the top, select Add new credential, and log in again with the appropriate account details.

  4. External login: Complete the login process on the provider's authentication page and grant the necessary permissions if prompted.

  5. Verify: After reconnecting, rerun the failing connector to confirm the status turns Healthy (Green).

Prevention & Tips To avoid seeing this error again:

  • Centralized Credentials: Use service accounts with non-expiring passwords where possible to reduce login friction.

  • Proactive Re-auth: Re-authenticate your data sources if you perform a major security sweep or password reset on your external accounts.
