What is happening?
Alvie cannot locate the required Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data in your BigQuery project. Because the raw event data is missing, Alvie is unable to run reporting solutions or attribution models.
Error: We could not find the analytics dataset in the GCP project targetGCPProjectID. Please ensure that your GA4 BigQuery export is set up correctly.
Why did this happen?
This error typically occurs when the automated link between GA4 and BigQuery has not been established or is misconfigured. Common causes include:
Export Not Enabled: The BigQuery export setting within the GA4 property admin panel has not been activated.
Incorrect Project ID: The GA4 data is being exported to a different Google Cloud project than the one configured in Alvie.
Dataset Naming Mismatch: Alvie is looking for the standard
analytics_XXXXXXXXXdataset, but it either hasn't been created yet or the ID is incorrect.
