When you create a reporting solution through Alvie, the Looker studio dashboard is just a template. You are free to customise it in any way you want. However, below you’ll find a few recommendations to consider the first time you set up a new dashboard:

1. Configuring the Currency settings

All currency values in the Looker Studio dashboard are based on the Currency specified during the setup in the Target currency field at Step 4. If Euros (EUR) were not selected during the setup, you may notice that the report is incorrectly formatted when initially created.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Resource and select Manage added data sources from the top menu.

  2. Choose the relevant data source.

  3. Locate all fields that have the format 'Currency - Euro'.

  4. Modify these fields to reflect the desired currency that you selected during the setup process. If you cannot recall the currency you selected, you can find it in the top right corner of the report under 'Unified Currency'.

2. Fine tune the market flags

If the report you’ve created supports market flags, you have the flexibility to customise the display of the appropriate country flags in the dashboard.

To achieve this:

  1. Go to Resource and select Manage added data sources from the top menu.

  2. Choose the relevant data source.

  3. Locate the field labeled Geo that has a globe icon associated with it.

This is a customizable field that you can edit yourself. It determines which country flag to display for each market in the table. While there are pre-defined markets available, you can add additional logic to match the specific market your client is operating in.

If you don't need to make any specific changes, you can simply use regular country codes in lowercase (e.g., dk). By default, all country codes from around the world will be matched and converted into flags.
